On this post I will show you how to make home-made delicious sweet potato-fries!
What is sweet potatoes?
First I will give a quick introduction to sweet potatoes.
Sweet potatoes are starchy root vegetables that are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. They are also high in antioxidants that protect your body from free radical damage and chronic disease.
Sweet potatoes contain fiber and antioxidants that promote the growth of good gut bacteria and contribute to a healthy gut.
Sweet potatoes are rich in beta-carotene and anthocyanins, antioxidants that may help
prevent vision loss and improve eye health.
What you need
- An air-fryer
- Sweet potatoes
- Organic cold-pressed avocado oil
- Salt
This is what you do
Start by peeling of the skin of the potatoes.
Cut them into suitable pieces and soak them in water to remove excessive starches.
After a few minutes dry the potatoes on a piece of paper and put them in a bowl.
Add avocado oil and salt onto the potatoes to your liking and mix everything gently.
Put them into the tray of your air-fryer and let it do its magic! Our air-fryer has some automatic functions that I use where it senses how long it should cook the food and on what heat. In general, depending on how big the batch is, it is somewhere between 160 – 180 Celsius and 30 minutes with two stops to stir the fries gently.
That’s it – easy as A,B,C and 1, 2, 3! 😀
