Changes in our diet the last 50 years

Today I am reflecting on changes in our diet the last 50 years or so. And have you thought about how our bodies and its needs still is the same as several ten thousands of years ago? And how much complication this creates with our health? I also find that all of this “carbage” has become commonality and we have distanced us to real food.

The soup on this picture is called “Pho” which is a Vietnamese dish. My husband makes this from scratch using bones to create a nutritious and extremely healthy bone broth. We eat the broth together with roast beef, cows tail and beef tendons. Since my diet has mostly fats and protein in it I eat this with finely cut cabbage and the rest of the family has noodles.

I bet many people would, by just hearing what is in it, be fairly disgusted. But this is the type of foods that truly appeal to us as a race. There is nothing in this soup that our bodies do not understand how to process – it is all natural products made from real foods.  It is packed with bio-available vitamins, minerals and collagen and it also has great benefits to your gut bacteria! I top everything off with some lemon juice, finally chopped chili peppers and fresh herbs such as sweet basil, chive, and coriander.
