One of my favorite breakfasts

One of my favorite breakfasts. Four slices of organic bacon fried in organic ghee or tallow. Along with small shrimp (100g) that I let fry in the pan with the bacon quickly at the end for flavor 👌😍

“Carnivorish” start and finish of my eating window

I usually start and end my day in a “carnivorish” fashion to ease the load on my digestion. Veggies tend to make me bloated so I incorporate them with my lunch meal. This is to make use of all the benefits and diversity that I believe is good for our gut bacteria. But for it to not intervene with my sleep for example hence I do not include them to a larger extent for dinner either.

The benefits of shrimps

Shrimps are an excellent source of iodine. And because they are small, they have not collected as much toxic metals from the ocean. Also they represent the protein source in this meal. Furthermore they also contain an impressive number of vitamins and minerals such as selenium, vitamin b12, iron, phosphorus, zinc, and magnesium. Shrimp also contains an antioxidant called astaxanthin, which has been studied for its role in promoting brain and heart health. Make sure to get wild cause shrimp as farm-raised might have been fed with antibiotics.

Some words around bacon and seaweed

Bacon has some protein as well but mostly fat. Fat from pork is actually a very good type of fat, just make sure to get it organic and fry it properly.

I finished my meal with some nori-snacks. Seaweed contains a concentrated source of iodine and an amino acid called tyrosine. Your thyroid gland requires both to function properly. Seaweed also contains a wide range of antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C and E, carotenoids, and flavonoids. These antioxidants protect your body from cell damage. Seaweed may help you lose weight because it contains few calories, filling fiber and fucoxanthin, which contributes to an increased metabolism.

Also, starting your eating window with healthy fats, protein, and some fiber from the seaweed assists your blood sugar response in a positive manner for meals to come during the day 😀👍
